Miracle on Elm Street!

The Elm Street church house is an older building that has not been used for several years.  It is in a pretty rough neighborhood, but it is a lovely old building.  Just sitting vacant.  The Church is debating whether to sell the building, or tear it down and sell the land.  But there is an asbestos issue.  The building is safe unless you tear it down, then it gets expensive to deal with the asbestos.

At any rate, just prior to the mission's explosion and expansion, :)  the two garages we used for storing things (the Assistants' and Zone Leaders' in Ventura) were obviously not going to be anywhere near what was needed.  We were looking into the possibility of renting a storage space somewhere, when one of the FM (Facility Management) techs told us about the Elm Street building, which we knew nothing about, and suggested that perhaps we could use a room to store stuff in. We received permission and keys. It has been perfect for storing all the things we get to furnish the new missionary apartments -- mattresses and box springs, chairs and tables, dressers and bookcases, microwaves, lamps, ironing boards, and dozens of small items which are boxed up for each apartment. We have expanded beyond one room there, and it has been such a blessing to have!

Heavenly Father blesses this work in so many unexpected and miraculous ways!
